Coffman Financial Services began operations in October 1997 in New Lexington, Ohio as a branch office of Bethel Mortgage Company of Columbus.  On December 8, 1998, founder and president Steven J. Coffman was awarded his own mortgage brokerage license.  Since then he has grown his business such that his office consistently generates mortgage loans totaling more than $1.5 million per month -- quite an accomplishment for a company based in a community of only 5,000 people.
